Workshop on Quality Education by Creative Response Forum

Today there was workshop on 'Quality Education' by creative response forum for 10 hours, a very long one. It was divided into four long sessions which were really of no worth and I must say waste of one complete day. Last time, the same workshop was really worth going and so decided to go this time but this time, it failed. And the most interesting part was the group discussion, there were 10 groups each given different topics and I belonged to group number 3 and the group had to choose a leader for the group who had to represent the team views on the stage. I was selected as the group leader for which I was very happy and I took the lead and collected every team member's opinion. Later on, it was my job to sum up everything and present in an orderly manner. The topic assigned to us was "Reading makes a complete man". We discussed both positive as well as negative aspects and did really well. We realized that we rocked when people from other group came and congratulated me telling the presentation was really good. It really a matter to be felt happy about because people recognize you out of hundreds and approach to congratulate and that too people whom we have never met. I was happy with the workshop, at least for this, and then, in the last session, the host college had to present paper on certain topics. Even at that time, one of the participant mentioned my name and the concept what I spoke and the resource person asked to mention a beautiful or inspiring quote and out of 100 people only two mentioned it. I was one among the two and I told about the quote by Mahatma Gandhi,

''Be the change you want to see the most in your world"

At the time of the speech, my name was taken along with the quote. Further, towards the end of the program, I was nominated by my college team to give the feedback. I mentioned the fact that the workshop conducted last time was more helpful. I did mention that when people leave their college/work to attend such workshops, it should yield results. Considering most people had a similar opinion, there was an applaud for this as well. I was afraid that I will be considered a critic but one of the organizers responded, accepted the feedback and said that they will take care of these concerns in the next workshop. That was really great. A mixed day
